Komodo Island and its History
Komodo Island itself is administratively included in the area in Komodo District, West Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara. The beginning of the discovery of this island originated from a Balanda who allegedly found a large animal resembling a dragon, Lieutenant Steyn van Hens Broek. Then, he then killed the animal and brought all its documentation to Bogor at the Botanical Garden Museum to be able to be investigated.
It is also suspected that the existence of dragons has existed in Asia since 40 million years ago. Then these animals with varanus sands migrate to Australia, which then moves towards an area (Indonesia) because of the process of meeting the Australian and Southeast Asian plates. This animal is finally believed to be the result of a revolution from Australia that began its spread to the eastern part of Indonesia.
